Washington University in St. Louis was planning to highlight the ongoing research of several faculty members wth a series of articles in Momentum Magazine. I worked with the assistant director to develop illustrations and layouts that would highlight and best represent the research.

Theoretical to Practical

The design or the articles features a blue lthroughline that connects the illustrations across each article. For each article the illustrations were made to represent the lab based research leading into the practical applications that the research was looking to achieve.

A Cohesive series

The designs spread across 7 articles as well as covers and table of content features. A color scheme and style were chosen to connect all of the articles and allow for the illustrations from different articles to be shown together in different applications.
