The client, Envu, has a portfolio of professional lawn care products. I was asked to illustrate a series of tarot cards based around the different products and benefits. These cards would be used as a promotional giveaway.
Mystic and modern
When illustrating these cards I referenced the style and imagery of classic tarot cards. I wanted a nod to that type of art while depicting the modern and specific plant imagery needed for the trade show. Tarot was a unique and memorable way to talk about this subject matter, and I wanted to keep that sense as they were taken home.

The challenge of this project was keeping the look consistent. Drawing plants and bugs was one thing, and as the cards got into more abstract concepts, I worked to make sure that the cards felt cohesive as a set.
